Do you think less foam would fix this? Like a wire mesh and a thinner filter substance?

It was the idle screw. Made a tool, sync'd em. Still died. Then adjusted idle screw, runs fine. So probably a mixture of both. I have airtechs that were made in 97
they were pretty brittle and a total beach to fit on the bike, but once I got em on there, they didnt crackle or give me any problems, and they are WAYY lighter than the stock. Plus I can fix 'em with my surfboard repair equipment, which is a nice thing to have

did it have an aftermarket exhaust slip on? what kind? how much?

I dont know how it helped the nosediving yet b/c ive still got the carbs to sort out, but it made a serious difference just sitting on the thing, the sag felt soooo much stiffer (put a gsxr750 shock on the back tho too...)
