Re: Accessories

I have a set of those heel guards in polished stainless that I am not using. I have the matching chain guard, but the PO sprayed it black, and half of the paint has peeled off. Wouldn't take much to remove the rest of the paint and shine it up...provided shiny is what you are looking for.

Suggestion: Pay-it-forward Section

I frequent other forums, one of my favorites being a Suzuki Samurai forum. I find this community to be very much like the Samurai community...friendly, helpful, etc. That said, one of the sections that impressed me on the Samurai forum was under the classifieds area and called "Pay-it-forward". the crack in the left side engine cover is in the same place that Y_G's pal Tony found his. Is this a common fault with FZR's
Not sure, really. There is evidence of an impact on the lower edge and the material is rather thin. My solution was to purchase a heavier duty piece from NRC.

That's where I found the info that I have already gleaned, but left me with the questions in my OP.

Tachometer Resistor Questions

I need to replace the big blue 51ohm resistor in my tachometer as it was fried when the VRR failed on the PO of my bike. The info I have gleaned from the forum on the required specs are: 51ohm, 5w, 5% The questions I have are; 1) is this info correct? 2) wire wound or metal oxide? 3) any other impor...
