Thermostats..... aftermarket?
My bike has always been one that has run hot. especially here in Texas. Moving down the highway I can get it to cool down to normal temp but once I stop at a light or traffic it creeps up to 3/4 of the way or pegs at high. I have to resort to using my fan with a manual button. Im interested in tryin...

Re: Clutch Cable replacement issue
Actually the cable is correct. It is labeled 05-0145 but was old stock dated 05/12. I called Motion Pro and the tech checked the cables they have and found that there might be an issue with mine. They are sending me another one for free. Here are some pics of my cables. What is screwing me up is the...

Re: Clutch Cable replacement issue
For sure. I sent an email to motion pro as they say they stand behind their cables. Only way I can get it to work would be if I can find a adjuster bolt for the handlebar that is about 2 inches long on the threads. I'll wait on them before I order a new OEM one.

Re: Clutch Cable replacement issue
Found the issue willandrip. The motion pro cable is about an inch too long. Plus the part that engages in the clevis at the actuator is too narrow. I'll have to find another cable. Probably just go with a OEM cable. I'll try to contact Motion Pro but being how I bought it on eBay they probably wont ...

Re: Clutch Cable replacement issue
There are a few scenarios here. Firstly; is the cable inner the exact same length as the old one ? (Do not take the makers description for granted...mistakes in production occur. Do a visual comparison I just went to fit a cable bought for an R5 6 mths ago at the weekend; its miles wrong !) Next......

Clutch Cable replacement issue
Felt my clutch cable let go a few weeks ago and I bought a new Motion Pro clutch cable. Part # 05-0145 Confirmed that yes my cable strands were starting to snap ay the lever and installed the new one. At this point I took the cable cover off and cleaned up and re-greased the actuator assembly. I go ...

Exhaust gasket size? 40mm or 42mm?
Hi all,
I have a slight tick coming from my valve train area that comes and goes so I think it is a tiny exhaust leak. Does anyone know what size the gaskets are? I've re-used the old ones like 4 times already so it's time to replace.
Thanks

Re: remove pistons from brake calipers.
I just rebuilt my master cylinders and cleaned out my calipers last weekend. Did it all with basic tools, a air compressor and brake cleaner spray. Even reused all the seals. Brakes are 100% functioning now and no leaks.
