Re: FRZ 250 exup Help needed

Which model FZR250 do you have?? 2KR or 3LN?? The biggest problem with getting a good end can with the 250's is the fact no one makes the connecting pipe between the header exit and the silencer. A lot of the ones from Japan are all in one items. I have a coerce pipe on mine, with std headers (as I ...

Re: 1989 FZR 250

That looks like a 3LN1 model, first of the beam framed (deltabox?) bikes. Handle very well they do. As one of the other poster mentions, your indicators do look like aftermarket ones. The rear ones on the FZR200-RR bikes are tiny little ones with square lenses and the stalk kind of goes out and upwa...

Re: FZR250 3LN3 Fork Stanchion Rechroming

There is absolutely nothing you describe in the parts diagram books. As far as I know there are are only 2 parts that could be made of plastic in the forks. They would both be made of white plastic. One of them is a washer that sits in the top of the 'rebound piston'. In the parts diagram it's descr...

FZR250 3LN parts wanted

Hello. I am after parts for the FZR250 3LN model. Preferably the 3 model onward - the one with the trapezoidal 'projector' type headlight. I am after the mount for the remote reservoir on the front brake. It seems it's no longer available from Yamaha. A front fairing subframe might not go amiss - le...

A 1WG with a 3TJ swinger. After the 17" rear wheel I imagine. Nice looking bike!

Re: Help Needed

If yours is an 89 model then it has the single disc? If so then to be honest the easiest swap is going to be a later 3LN twin disc front end. The forks are 38mm (same as some of the later 400 and 600 Genesis I think) and you get a decent remote reservoir master cylinder. Just give the calipers a ref...

Re: enginge replacement problem

You should refit all of your hoses exactly how they were on your original engine. Your original hoses would not have had a feed that goes to 'an' oil cooler in the first place. There *might* be slight differences in how the thermostat is plumbed in - but use all the hoses and thermo housings from yo...

Re: enginge replacement problem

From this picture below you can see that this pipe from the oil cooler goes to the bottom left of the radiator (as you look at it from the front of the bike).

I don't have any other pics of the hose arrangements :-?

Re: enginge replacement problem

Which model FZR600 do you have? Does the frame number start with 3HE or 4JH?? You do not have to connect any pipes to the oil cooler, you wont be getting any benefit from the oil cooler being there - but you can wait to plumb it in as you will need new hoses to do so. You should be able to use all y...

Re: Fzr 400 3tj pet cock

Apparently the square plastic bit in the 3TJ petcock is the same as the metal one in a Suzuki GS500 :shocker At the moment I am running mine with an R1 petcock as it has a nice BIG manual handle on it. I did need a 10 to 8mm pipe reducer though. I am going to do a proper job one winter and fit the F...
