i see now my post was unclear. The engine stalls when i give it any throttle past about 5-7k
the choke issue seems to be secondary.
It idles fine and warms up without choke if i give it a little gas here and there. The main problem i have is the engine stalling with more than a little throttle.

engine stalls at around 5-7k and with choke on
it idles fine unless the choke is on. Choke causes it to stall similarly to giving it throttle. I have no tach on now so 5-7k rpm is a guess or maybe 1/4-1/3 throttle.
any ideas ?

Engine dies with choke or too much throttle
When i start the bike it idles fine without choke and with out any throttle. It's fine when I give it a little gas but when going over maybe 5 or 6k (not sure exactly where, there is no tach on it right now) the engine dies instantly if i dont pull the clutch. Also using the choke results in both th...

Re: Brake lights stuck on (98 FZR 600)
the switch is right behind the heel guard. two bolts that hold it on are all you need to remove. the switch just hooks into the rear brake lever and can be adjusted via the plastic nut type thing thearded to the switch. the switch just pops into the hole behind the heel guard. If you find that the r...

Re: stripped threading in carb bowls
Threads re taped and new (correct) screws installed.
The float bowl cover screws are m5 x .8 12mm by the way. I know i looked for that info and couldnt find it so maybe someone can benefit from it down the line.

Re: stripped threading in carb bowls
going to go ahead and try to fix the threads. it's atleast worth a shot.
if i mess it up i think the $20 parts carbs should be all i need.
Busy with work for the next couple days but after ive had a chance to tear into them ill post back with the results.

stripped threading in carb bowls
In the process of rebuilding my fzr i thought it would be a good idea to replace the butter soft screws that fasten the float bowl covers onto the carbs. Sadly, i got screws with the wrong thread pitch and wound up stripping the threads in the carbs banghead . I know it was a really stupid way to ru...

Re: starter solenoid

I didnt notice anything suspicious with the battery leads when wiring the bike back up or investigating this problem so im thinking ill pick up another solenoid...

Re: starter solenoid
Theyre fine. Battery is fully charged, wire from the starter to the solenoid reads 00.7ish volts when the ignition is hit. Bad solenoid? Also, one of the brass threaded terminals of the solenoid feels loose while the other feels secure(this is when nothing is bolted on)

needle jet part number?
Studying the microfiche a cant seem to locate what would obviously be the emulsion tube. The thing that looks most like it they just call "screw".
If anyone can help out id really appreciate it.
