Re: R6 Exhaust can on a FZR 3EN1 with some pics
That is a very neat job, the up swept can fits in really well with the lines of the bike.

R6 Exhaust can on a FZR 3EN1 with some pics
Just saw a thread elsewhere on here about the R6 mod for a 250 so thought I should share this here. Basically I couldn't find any decent secondhand exhaust pipes with the exup manifold so I got an aftermarket stainless system without the exup. I decided to fit an R6 end can because it has an exup va...

Re: FRZ 250 exup Help needed
Hi, I put an R6 end can on my FZR 400 3EN1 last year. It will work with or without the exup servo motor connected. It was very loud though and for the sake of my neighbour's peace and quiet I took it off. I think it will give you the sound you're after  When it's not running the default po...

Re: Far 600 rebuild
Hi, there was nothing wrong with the master cylinder itself the bore and piston were smooth with no scoring. Even the seals looked good to the eye but I guess they had degraded through age and lack of use and just weren't forming a good seal anymore. A good clean up and soaking the new seals in brak...

Re: Far 600 rebuild
I'm glad the new parts are on the way. I had exactly the same issue with mine when I rebuilt the front calipers. Put it all back together, feeling quite chuffed with myself, and then the master started leaking when I bled the system just like yours is. banghead A strip down and new seals sorted it.

Re: Far 600 rebuild
Hi, when you say the piston blew out do you mean that the rubber piston seals failed and leaked?
Can you post a picture of it.

Re: Fairing indicator
If you are after the flush fitting indicators they sometimes pop up on ebay but quite often for silly prices. I got a pair of Chinese aftermarket indicators and the quality is fine. They come with bullet connectors so you will have to account for that. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Turn-signals-light-YAMA...

Re: Can't Idle But Runs Again?
Hi, what you're describing does sound like a temporary blockage in the carbs. The previous owner may have cleaned the carbs but it is worth checking the state of the fuel tank for rust/dirt and the inline fuel filter. Check that the air filter is on properly as well. You say the bike is running well...

Re: Rear shock and swingarm bearings?
The Yamaha 'special bearing' used on a lot of bikes (93399-99919-00) can be very expensive: The cheapest source I found for an original part is here: http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/yamaha/Y-93399-99919-00.html Another source for a non original part is here: http://www.splatshop.co.uk/shock-bearin...

It is a right hand thread. They can either be tight as hell to get off or fall off all by themselves when you don't want them to.

Re: Clutch Cable snapped
To replace the cable you'll have to remove the left side fairing and tank cover to get clear access. Loosen the adjuster at the clutch lever so that it is completely loose Remove the front sprocket cover and then detach the end of the cable from the actuator on the inside of that cover. Detach the c...

Re: Clutch Help - Can't get a smooth gear change
Thanks Pefrey, I had checked the basket and although I can see dark marks where the friction plates have been contacting the basket but there was no real wear. Ran my finger over all the splines and no noticeable notching to need filing. Before I was using Silkolene Super 4 semi, changed to Halfords...

Clutch Help - Can't get a smooth gear change
Hello, Over the past few months my gear changes have gotten less smooth/accurate. The bite point is fine but when I let the clutch out at lower speeds it feels like it is engaging and the engine speed feels like its pauses and is dragging slightly (revs don't rise) then it seems to catch and the clu...
