How to Roll back the odometer
I just replaced my gauge cluster because my tach was not working. With that being said the miles on the new cluster gauge are wrong by at least 70,000 miles. How do i roll back my miles on my current gauge to the correct number?

Engine wont turn over
It's been about 3 weeks since I crank my bike, I went out yesterday to start it and it would not turn over... I was wondering if I sprayed some engine starter in the carbs, do you think it would work or harm the bike...

Re: need help, Still no Torque
Is the pressure plate properly aligned? Yamaha is infamous for this. The pressure plate goes on 5 ways, only one of which actually clamps the plates. There is a triangle and a dot on the pressure plate and hub; I forget which has which, but they have to be lined up. Also, did you check the conditio...

need help, Still no Torque
Here is a recap, while riding one day I lost torque the bike slowed down to a crawl. So one of my fellow fzr riders suggested that I should check or change the friction plates… I changed the Kevlar Friction Plates along with the steel plates and springs… I torque them to the specs as stated in the O...

I see... Thanks again... Well i need to make sure im extra carefull or ill be raplacing the whole thing...DonTZ125 wrote:As RR suggested, you are less likely to snap the bolt itself than you are to tear out the spring tower in the clutch hub./ This is a fairly light casting, and this damage would be irreparable.

Re: NEED HELP "Lost Torque"
Very carefully. You don't want to go over the recommended 7 lb-ft or you will snap off a bolt in the clutch basket (ask how I know... twice...). I would advise either buying a small torque wrench that reads in inch-pounds and convert it. FYI, 7 lb-ft=84 lb-in Thanks lots... Looks like I'm investing...

Re: NEED HELP "Lost Torque"
Measure the thickness of the frictions. Measure the free length of the springs. Clean the steels, inspect for bluing and warping. (Check the manual for specs) If anything fails, replace as a set - frictions (almost guaranteed to be toast), springs, or steels; the groups that pass can be re-used. Ho...

NEED HELP "Lost Torque"
I was riding on freeway yesterday I got up to like 85mph and I was about to exit when I notice I was losing torque, the engine revs, but I was slowing down. I push the bike to a parking lot to let it cool, I turned the key getting ready to start the bike, then I hear the fan... I never heard the fan...

Re: Shifting speeds???
Thanks a lot for the replies, I been shifting by sound, but wasn't really sure if I was shifting to early... I didn't have any crazy noises or anything like that...
