Re: blown headgasket plz help
Don't reuse it. You will have to do the job again, sorry.
Did you check that the head was true before you fitted the last one?

Re: Bleeding bloody brakes
Hmmm, I have never had a problem bleeding mine and I have a similar set up to yours. I used your standard type bleed kit with the non return valve, the type which pushes over the bleed nipple. Undo the nipple just enough to allow fluid to pass then pump like fook on the lever whilst keeping the rese...

Mine is very similar to yours. 1040 K & N in standard airbox Exup header and race can Exup installed and working. (you really want this for the street) 125 127.5 jet combo Standard needle one clip from top. Standard slides. Floats at 14-15mm I've tried lots of jets larger and smaller and this is the...

Re: EXUP 1000 carb tops
The plastic tops are not now available new from Yamaha, second hand only. Diaphragms are still available.
Scour eBay for a set of carbs. The spares will come in handy.

Re: Clutch issues
Clutches.... Nightmare! I had a right shit with mine. I swapped plates then steels. Then more steels, more plates, etc etc. My advice, just buy new new Yam items. Check fluid, seals and clutch operation, tighten slave cylinder to casing properly and you are good to go. No oil should be lost when cha...

Re: Tyre Choice
I've just Metzeler Z6's and I like. I also went for a lower profile front tyre, a 120/60, and with my 155mm bones the bike feels lovely round corners. The front tyre change has lowered the front by about 10mm.

No fairing parts fit directly from the RU to the R. You would have to fabricate or modify brackets.

Re: FZR1000 Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment
Is the clutch standard or an aftermarket HD item? Some people have had issues when fitting HD clutches with creeping. Other than that check over the full system, check the slave is pushing the rod correctly, check the slave is not loose, replace and bleed fluid. With cold or low oil mine will be a b...

Re: Newbie Exup question.
If you lift the tank (RU) the motor is underneath. When you rev the engine the motor should start to move straight away. If the motor turns correctly check the exhaust side is moving the same. The motor does not cycle on the RU but if it is moved out of position by hand with the ignition off it will...
