FZRSupport: the FZROnline Archive

this seems to have stirred up a real hornets nest, great to see and highly educational but is there any way for me to know if this is factory fitted or a mod done by a previous owner. what is the benefit of a spin on filter apart from ease of access?

according to wiki the spin on oil filter wasnt introduced until 92, so i presume that was when the oil cooling system was changed

as usual each time i take on a project something crops up, this time it is impending house move , so stripping the bike is on hold until i move....its easier moving a complete bike than boxes of bits. on the plus side where i am going has a garage !thanks to yamster for sorting out the oil cooler fo...

thanks for that , at least i now know that it isnt a hybrid and will make sourcing parts easier. the oil cooler connections are badly corroded so just waiting on a pm from yamster who hopefully has one, this is one of the things i like about this site , genuine used parts from genuine owners as well...

apologies in advance for my ignorance but on my bike there is a small radiator below the main radiator for cooling the oil but i have noticed from pics that it isnt on all fzr600, did yamaha change this at some stage ,if so has anyone any ideas when they did so

sounds good enough for me, may be time to raid the piggybank although a long way to go before pipes are needed

just joined after inheriting a 1990 3he genesis fzr 600 that has been parked up for a few years, i hope to completely strip down the frame and get that powder coated, and then begin putting it back together again (hopefully, armed with a haynes manual and any help i can get from here. i am just wait...
