Re: Electrical problems on a 2 stroke
I thought about it being the tank vent, but it's done this with the fuel cap off, so it's not a vaccuum issue. I was hoping for that. My puller is an OEM piece, but heat is an excellent suggestion. I'll probably work on this bike this weekend, I'll keep ya'll updated. Thanks for the guidance.

Re: Single pod tuning
This is of interest to me as well. I have a 400, and would love to know the length of the stock runners on the airbox. I'd guess an inch, but probably better to ask.

Electrical problems on a 2 stroke
I got a 1973 Kawasaki G3SSD 90cc 2 stroke that runs great for about 4 miles, and then it starts loosing power sharply until it won't idle anymore. After waiting 15 minutes, back to life she roars for another 2 miles, at which point it's second verse same as the first. The best I can tell, the conden...

Re: good ideas for tail bags?
Taggy, thanks for the link. Unfortunately, due to wonderful performance of the US dollar ( :swear ), these options become fairly expensive to get stateside. I'm looking for inexpensive. And if I am going to shell out some cash, I'd like to know the item works well with the bike and doesn't scatch th...

good ideas for tail bags?
I realize on our 400's, we are probably not going cross country. That said, I'm sure someone here has found a tail bag that they are really excited about. Something that doesn't scratch the paint, isn't too big, isn't too small, doesn't look silly . . . Cortech looks like they have some nice bags, b...

pic of stock chainguard mounted, please
Hey ya'll. I received my chain guard from ebay, but upon closer inspection, I believe the PO took/removed/broke off the mounting tabs on the swing arm for the chain guard. If one of you fine gentleman could take a pic or two of what yours looks like, I can see if I'm right and also see what would lo...

Anyone have a stock chain guard or know if the 600 chain guard will fit on the 400? I'm replacing a missing one, and want it to look stock(ish).

Re: Radiator Question.
Someone like fanman.com should have an adjustable thermoswith with a probe that fits into the radiator. I had that on a track car, and things worked out well. It won't be invisible, but it will be functional.
