Gasket kit was on eBay. Ok so prob fixed had leak in valve cover gasket fixed it and installed new plugs ran for a while pulled plugs no loads of oil I will keep an eye on it

Just checked top carb had a slice in the rubber bladder part would that be my problem

can anybody tell me why carb on cylinder three dosent flutter up with the others dosnt move much at all.. does it just need a adj. pretty simple question i hope.

i wanted to check the cylinder walls before i replaced head. had bought a complete gasket kit because it was $100 and a head gasket was like 70. thats why i removed cylinders. putting new plug in tomorrow wait and see thanx realrazor

yeah gasket had the word up on a little tab so i installed it up. wouldnt there be oil in my coolant if it was head gasket issue? should i drain my oil looking for coolant? what type of things can i check to eliminate things

found that answer alot online too but not sure i understand plugs go in the head they dont go through the cover at all can you explain.

OK so recently installed a new loaded head that was from a good running bike.( I was cheaper than rebuilding my head with bad intake valves. ) installed new base gasket and head gasket torqued to the right lbs im pretty sure had to nm to fb convertion. checked all the cylinders and rings seemed good...

Trying to remove head but want to loosen in recommended order!! manual says to follow image but don't see it anywhere. tighten would just be opposite right. bike has been sitting cold real cold would it matter that much If I just go outside to inside?

yeah going to check what shims are and try to get away with changing shims that would be the easiest way and hell of a lot cheaper thanx.

asked seller about condition and if the bike was running when removed. is it ready to bolt on and ride?? this is what he said; the bike ran good with no ticking. i have no idea when the last valve service was done. sure, you can bolt them on and ride, but i really can't say how many miles they will ...

just not sure because exhaust side is good so would just need intake side valves???intake valve clearance good but not sure on cond. new head with valves only $125 on ebay prob just new gasket and bolt up. if valves were good on ebay head then clearance would prob. good on mine right?

Today I checked the valve clearances on a project fzr 600 that I bought last week and found that the exhaust valves are within spec. but the intake valves are not. (.001wont even fit) from what i read this is very common for 91 fzr's. guessing that by replacing shims this would prob. be very tempora...
