Re: FZR 600 Rims-Wheels help
If you can lay your hands on a TDM 850 (must be 850, not 900) rear wheel, it goes in with the minimum of modification, took me one hour start to finish.

Re: Intermittently running on 3 cylinders
Had a very similar fault. Motor would rev fine, but cut to three at tickover. On mine (after making sure that the carbs were balanced, there were no airleaks from cracked inlet rubbers, that the float height was correct, that the plug was clean and new), turned out to be the jet holder block . This ...

Re: Intermittently running on 3 cylinders
Just rebuilt a wreck of a'91. Usual problems with carb jets blocked with stale fuel, cleaned them out but still had a problem at tickover/low speed with one cylinder. My problem (after much hair tearing) turned out to be the jet holder block GASKET on the erratic cylinder. Take the jet holder block ...

Re: Stock VR wiring (dumb) question
Look for an R/R off the Fazor 1000. It has a long lead rather than a socket which lets you mount it somewhere with a good heatsink and an airflow. The wiring colours are the same and it is a really rugged device. Its what I use on all machines with R/R problems (mainly Hondas!) Cut the leads and SOL...

Amen to that. I'll remember that when my solenoid decides to throw in the towel.

Re: What clocks will fit (400 frame / 600)
From personal experience. The 89 - 94 FZR clocks are direct replacemets. The late FZR/YZF foxeyes spedo face is 'just' a little bit wider. It can be persuaded to fit the earlier clock binnacle by cutting off a couple of tabs on the face, but it will block out the backlight. The rear of the clock fac...

Re: Flo Commander
Oh, and by the way. I've fitted the 110 main jets that came today, along with making the airbox as tight a seal as a human can. Glad to report that it now sings its way up to the redline with a smooth delivery at lower revs. Hmmmm what to do with my time now?

Re: Flo Commander
Hi george.
Yes, something exactly like that. Deep in the dredges of my memory I sem to recall this on a bigger Suzuki. The pipe bore was small, so I can only see it having any direct effect at small throttle openings, but it might help to smooth tickovers a little (?)

Re: Flo Commander
Thanks thatkid, just the info I was looking for. I agree fully with you about altitude changes, my old 'blade certainly started gasping in some of the higher regions we have around here and was well down at the Nurburgring (thats up in the Eifel mountains in Germany). The FZR seems to be even touchi...

Re: Fresh Gauge Faces
Like the look! Add me to the list of interested people. BTW. The stock clock faces are glum at night. I found that the back of the face is sprayed with some semi opaque paint, A dab or three of thinners has it cleaned off and much brighter digits results. BE VERY CAREFUL not to get ANY thinners on t...

Re: R6 shock conversion questions
It took me one hour from offering up the TDM wheel, doing a few measurments, a bit of cutting and grinding to having the wheel mounted and running true. The 'rim' design is slighlty different in theat there are hollows at the bottom of the spokes. They look perfectly in keeping with the front wheel....

Re: R6 shock conversion questions
Hi Sooty I'm in Manchester too, just finished a complete re-build on a '91 wreck. Pity you have shelled out for a tyre as there is, in the UK, a cheap and easy way to 17'' rear heaven. The TDM 850 wheel goes in with a minimum of modification, all parts interchangable. The ability to post photos on t...

A+ to the Delkevic S/S pipes. They fit well, look well and at £130 (UK) are a steal.
