Re: Battery
Lipo batteries are the way forward for your application, they are tiny. A lead acid of smaller size may be substituted and still be more than capable. Re: ECU/CDI problem
The exup ecu's can be reflashed/programed. I new a guy who did this for a company using exup engines in a car.
I had these guys in my saved list but know nothing about them? might be worth a call.

Have you tried to resolder the chip

Re: clutch
Hi thanks for reply's Mine is an 89 exup so must be different I think Ive worked it out?, the pipe is a breather pipe for the sump. The sump cant breathe through the casting hole due to the oil in clutch. The breather goes into the clutch case air/oil separator which also connects to the crank case ...
clutch
Does anyone know what this pipe is for, or where it goes. I know its the return from the oil/air separator in clutch housing but why does it connect to this pipe. It looks like the pipe goes into the sump, why not just empty into clutch housing and drain into sump with rest of oil. ? There's an oil ...

Re: fzr 1000 (87) front fork swap
Hi I've fitted R1 4XV front end to my FZR1000 Exup 89 street fighter project. As said before you will need complete front. I had to have the stems pressed out the FZR stem made shorter and refitted to R1 yolks, also spacer for top yolk. The stops on the frame cut down. You will also loose your steer...
