Re: Voltage Regulator from R6
Well I got it all wired up and running again. When I measured the voltage across the battery @ 5K, the reading was 13.6V. With the headlight disconnected it measures 13.7V. I know this is on the low end but should I be alarm and continue the measurements on the flowchart or am I OK? I took it out fo...

Re: Voltage Regulator from R6
Thank you for the replies. I needed to make sure what the top middle pin was for. All other pins are the same as the original VR correct?
Don, I will contact Alex. thanks,

Voltage Regulator from R6
My VR just died and I purchased another one from ebay without realizing it was an R6 instead of the YZF. The plug is different. Will this work on my '97 FZR600? I will hard wire this if this will work and if I know the pin out. This VR has 6 pins and not 5. My original VR failed low. I was measuring...

Re: shinko 006 tires
I got a set of Podium (150 rear) put on and took it out for the first time this weekend. I gun it a little too hard coming out of a curve and it slid on me a little bit but that was my fault. Tires are great for riding around town and also looks great IMO. I think I paid around $85 at Motorcycle War...

Re: Painting Engine/Wheels
I just painted mine this weekend using Engine paint from Eastwood. Turned out OK. Easy paint to spray. Took picture with my camera phone so not very clear.

Re: Wanting to lower my FZR
Thanks for all the reply. I can ride around fine. I'm on my very tip toe and it's ok until once I had to maneuver the bike back and forth and it was a pain. I'm 5'6" and 125lbs. I'm thinking 1" front and back and I'll be OK. I will look into that GSXR dogbone. Do I have to modify it to make it fit? ...

Wanting to lower my FZR
Hi, I'm wanting to lower my bike 1-2" so that I can be flat footed. What are my options and the easiest? I've read about changing out the dogbone and also changing to different shock. Is there a shock that is a "Drop-in" and is shorter?
thanks,
thanks,

Re: '97 Chain/Sprocket Question
Thank you all for the responses.
Thank you Brandon for the offer. I just bought new sprockets. We'll see if they will work with my existing chain length, if not, I will take you up on your offer.

Re: '97 Chain/Sprocket Question
I'm in TN, US
If I go with (-1) front and (+3) rear sprocket, will I need a longer chain? I don't know the calculation.

Re: '97 Chain/Sprocket Question
The PO said that the chain is a week old. The old chain broke and you can see where it cut into the side of the sprocket and broke the chain cover. I gues he just changed out the chain to get it running since he was selling the bike. I will try to take some pics soon.

'97 Chain/Sprocket Question
Hi, I'm working on a '97 model that I recently bought. Everything is completely off the bike and getting ready for paint. I have a question regarding chain and sprocket. The previous owner just replaced the chain and not the sprocket. I noticed that the rear sprocket is badly worn and had the tip of...

Re: Kyle844's FZR600 build!
Weel, there goes my first option. Saw some bikes posted with polished frames. Was going to polish the frame and carbon fiber than rest. Back to the drawing board......
How did yours look with the frame painted? Not too dark?

Re: Kyle844's FZR600 build!
Looks great. Did the 2' x 6' sheet enough to do your tank, fender, tail? I am thinking about doing the same if I can strip the paint off the frame and polish it. I was able to strip one coat but not the original silver coat.
