Re: fzr600 front spindle
There is no nut needed, the spindle screws into the left fork leg. There a pinch bolt on the right side to hold it in place.

Yea, I feel your pain. Not a nice welcome! We certainly got hammered up here in Lake County!
When I'm ready I think I may need to contact you for some powder coating. Nice work!

Swingarm Upgrade-Improvement?
Hey guys, Is there any performance improvement gained from swapping out a 1990 fzr600 square tubing swingarm for the later model Deltabox style? I'm making the R6 shock upgrade and considering swapping out the swingarm as well if there is any benefit. Thoughts?

Re: The rebuild goes on- Pics!
Well, it's all together. Fired her up and she sounded goooood  With the exeption of some seeping gas from the carb gas line seals (which I didn't check-DUH) everything went without a hitch. A few minor adjustments here and there and I'll be biting the bit for spring. Thanks all for your know...

Re: About to Tear the Carbs Down
Yes there is a guy in Florida also called George on EbayMotors.com I will see if I can dif up my details from buying from him. The "George" that YG refers to also has a web site store in addition to E-bay. Not everything in his site is posted on E-bay. Bought a set of intake boots from him. Very he...

Re: Fuel pump testing/rebuild
Hi Mark. Try giving it a gentle tap with something like the handle of a screw driver or ratchet. My bike sat for a while as well with all the gas drained from the pump. When assembled it would not pump, I just felt a dull thud from the pump when I turned the key. A couple taps and it started pumping...

Re: fzr600 intake valves??
I had the same problem with the intakes on my project bike not being able to get .001 feeler in. Being the intakes wear faster than exhaust just as you said, having 20K miles I just reshimed. Everything turned out to be just fine. I'd do the reshimming before looking into replacing valves. You shoul...

Re: Front Master Cylinder Part??
How is it positioned? Is it parallel with the bottom or is it placed in one corner then wedged in on the other side thereby sitting on an angle. If so what side is the high side?

Front Master Cylinder Part??
Can anyone explain to me what is the purpose of this tab inside the front master cylinder and how it is to be installed? I've never came across something like this before. :headscratch: Looks to be some kind of baffle to prvent fluid from sloshing around. http://fzronline.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_vi...

Re: The rebuild goes on- Pics!
Thanks dontz125 for the VR background. I never realy knew that there was not a dedicated ground wire to the VR case. This one had it as stock in the harness which goes directly to the battery. I could see how just using a case ground could cause problems. When I disassembled it there was all kinds o...

Re: The rebuild goes on- Pics!
:tks: I used ProGrip gel grips. The plastic lenses were polished to remove years of scratches and fading. The stock VR was working fine when i rode it home after the puchase. When I reassembled it I use some heat sink paste behind it to aid in heat dissipation, cleaned up all the terminals and groun...

Re: Source for rubber dampers for fuse box?
I know exactly what your looking for :grinnod:. Unfortunately Yammy does not sell the damper separately. I was there myself searching for a replacement and found Yamaha uses the same fuse box set-up on their Big Bear ATV BUT this one is not an integral part of the wire harness as it is on the FZR an...
