Re: wait...that hole is not supposed to be there!!!
Update. So after about 2 hours the engine is out. Pretty easy actually and Yamaha put all wire connections in good spots. Yamaha George, I dont doubt that welding and rebuilding internals would work, however that is a bit more in depth than I want to go. I have rebuilt engines before, but I really l...

Indeed. She dumped all her brand new synthetic all over the road and partially my driveway.ragedigital wrote:Nothing a little JB Weld couldn't fix... ha
That just plain sucks. Did you change all of the fluids before you took her out on her maiden voyage?

Also,
Just to make sure, any model FZR 600 correct? 89-98? Or was there a change in 94? Can I put in a post 94 without any mods? Will it run better/ the same/ worse?

wait...that hole is not supposed to be there!!!
Ok, so as some of you know...i just recently bought my winter project bike several weeks ago. Well I finished up the flush mounted lights and clear alternative tail light, so I wanted to take it out on its first "real" road test. So....I am riding about 5 miles or so when all of the sudden a ticking...

Re: how come?????
Great posts so far. The main thing to understand that power does not equal speed on a linear progression. For instance if a 100hp 600cc bike goes 150mph top speed that does not mean that a 150hp 1000cc bike will do 225 mph. As Gmonkey said those increases dont come cheap. Gearing plays a huge role.....

Re: PVC Pipes installed!!! project update
thanks yamaha george, I appriciate your comment. I actually used the reverse clicking method which I tend to do most everytime I try to screw a bolt, cap, ect... however, my difficulty was more in the pressure it required to compress the spacers into the fork tubes, and the awkward positioning it to...

Re: PVC Pipes installed!!! project update
same...had rachet straps to the ceiling. front end off the ground. With the longer spacers, it was just more to compress.

PVC Pipes installed!!! project update
UPDATE!!! Ok so last night I finished stripping the rims and dealing with that. Tonights focus was to figure out why my front suspension feels like a ninja 250. So, after reading numerous posts and topics about how to fix this, I decided to start cheap (can allways upgrade later with racetech or som...

Rims Stripped!!
Ok so again...quick background...bought the bike for a winter project for $1000. My goal is not to exceed $2000. I stripped the rim lips today and painted the center of the rims black. All in all, it really isnt too hard, but since I have not invested in a motorcycle jack I had to be creative and us...

Intro and Headlights wont work ???
Hi all, First off I would like to say hi to all. I am new to the FZR forums, however not new to motorcycles. I used to be an automotive tech prior to the Army so I am pretty mechanically inclined and know my way around a garage. Over the past three years I have been buying/riding/selling bikes on th...
