RK 530 110 link RX-Ring chain
Hey guys, I bought this chain a while back with the intention of changing out my sprockets on the FZR. As you can tell, I haven't been on these forums in quite a while, I have an r6 now. I can post a picture of this chain later once I get off work. Willing to sell it for $80 shipped anywhere in the ...

Re: how to clean FZR carburetors (video)
Thank you for the nice response, George. I too was concerned about the metal string vs the brass until I looked into the composition of guitar strings. At first I thought guitar strings were regular steel or stainless steel. It turns out that the newer guitar strings are tin-coated soft steel for a ...

Re: how to clean FZR carburetors (video)
I'll admit, at first I thought you were just being a jerk, so I disregarded your comments. After reviewing my video I noticed that yes I must have skipped that step, so I'll probably go through my other set of FZR carburetors to add in that part of the video that I missed. I have another video of a ...

Re: how to clean FZR carburetors (video)
Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry you feel that way, but I've cleaned somewhere around 100 carburetors doing them the same way I mentioned in the video and they run perfectly every time. Two cylinders or four cylinders it a smooth idle every time. I'll admit that I don't know what the o-ring seals ...

Re: how to clean FZR carburetors (video)
I should have added this to my other response when I responded. In the video I mention a separate video about my yzf600r carbs on my bike, I thought I made the video but apparently I haven't. If I make that video would it get pinned as well?

Re: how to clean FZR carburetors (video)
when I was editing this video I realized I left out some small things, but I added in comments. My other carburetor videos have that info though, and all motorcycle carburetors are practically the same.

is this guy on these forums?
Is this guy on these forums? His bike looks awesome. I'm not a big fan of the front end, but the rest of it is pretty cool. It looks very rugged.

truck bed liner fairings :)
SOOOO..what do you do if you live in Hawaii, you've parted out 3 FZR's and have extra fairings lying around that are too large to ship out of state? You experiment with interesting ideas like painting the side and tail fairings with truck bed liner. I love the textured look they now have. Plus it ma...

Re: 89 gsxr750 rim?
I know for a fact that the SV rim has been modified to fit the FZR. The older GSXR rims are HEAVY and you are better off avoiding them. I'd go for the YZF600 swing arm and rim swap if I were looking for the easiest most straightforward mod. All you will have to do is space out your front sprocket. ...

Re: SV650 wheel in FZR swingarm??
anyone have any more info on this? I found an sv650 rim locally and I have a 160 tire to put on it. I want to try it, but I need more info on the subject. I'll probably get the rim and try it anyway..Thanks!

Re: 89 gsxr750 rim?
I found this..it's interesting..a guy was able to fit an FZR rim on a SV650, but he later realized that the FZR is an 18 and the sv is a 17..The reverse option should be possible..I forgot to ask the guy on the phone what his tire size is on the sv650 rim http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?...

Re: 89 gsxr750 rim?
hmm..so I found a rim from a suzuki sv650. It's a 17" and has a 4.5" width..the guy said the part number is j17mt4.5. Has anyone explored this wheel as a possibility?
