Re: Service Manual Download

Anyone know if Clymer <SP> do one ? No, I don't think so. I have been using the Thundercat Haynes in conjunction with the Handbook which is okayish. When I had my previous FZR600R I had the proper service manual but got rid of it with the bike having assumed that I wouldn't get another one later......

Haynes do one for the YZF600R (Thundercat) and Fazer but not the FZR600R (4JH).

Re: ATTN: EVERYONE OLD TIRES

I wouldn't risk it. Don't like Shinko tyres much either. Had some on an EX500 and they were shockingly poor even when newly manufactured. The article is correct though in Europe we are warned about the dangers of old tyres. All the tyre places I have been to have posters up explaining the age of the...

I tend to do whichever is sooner although I usually do that mileage in less than 6 months.

Re: Output shaft thread size

with proper chain alignment and slack adjustment, the countershaft sprocket really doesn't need a nut. I would rather NOT put one on, than put a stripped or damaged one back on. I think it can cause more damage coming off than not being there That's not saying that it isn't good insurance..... But,...

Re: Output shaft thread size

I was amazed it just slid cleanly off the shaft without jamming the wheel up or smashing the cases/me up etc. Hopefully with a decent thread and the revised nut and washer it should be fine now. As discussed on another thread I have made a note of what I did to repair it in case I ever sell the bike...

Re: Output shaft thread size

The front sprocket came off the shaft a few weeks back when I was doing about 40mph. Luckily it didn't do any damage but it did take 5 hours for a recovery truck to arrive which wasn't great. It was fairly obvious at the side of the road to see what had happened as the chain was very slack. Didn't s...

Re: Output shaft thread size

Does anyone know what the output shaft thread size is on a 1994 FZR600R 4JH (YZF600). Thanks, John John, It used to be that you could work out thread sizes and pitches from Yamaha -part numbers for the nuts,I do not know if they still use that internal code though IF it still holds true the nut is ...

Yes they will:

I have a set of Thundercat Motad Venom headers on my FZR600R (4JH) with a Thundercat end can.

The Motad headers were about £130 direct from Motad on ebay.

Re: Might get rid of my fzr =/

I pxed my original FZR600R/YZF600 for a 2000 Model Fireblade (or CBR929RRY for the US) back in 2003. Good bike plagued, in my case, by a crap charging system, the fuel injection is a bit jerky on some bikes and the fuel economy is quite poor. Although, the performance is on a different level to the ...

I have got an old magazine with a Bennelli advert in. It says something like the Bennelli brothers never made icecream. I will scan it in :)
