Re: Will not start now :(

Yea it did seem kinda harsh to me. Your right I did not inspect the ignition system. Not sure of a good way to do that. Any help would be appreciated. I would like to make sure that is in working order. I did not think this to be an issue because the bike did run so well and does fire up when coaxed...

Re: Will not start now :(

All pilots are out. Lots of FUN! At least I now have a fuel injected RC51 to ride......... Hey who uses a gas analyzer for their tuning? Which one do you use? I am putting back the stock exhaust headers with threaded bungle bolts so i can insert some sort of probe (just don't know what the op...

Re: Will not start now :(

Spark not an issue. Sprayed carb cleaner (like starting fluid) in the carb throats and if fired up. But its will not take choke or throttle and then dies and fowls the plugs. Looks like my enriching circuit it way to rich. I am going to have to clean the plugs and go 1.5 turns out to a more lean set...

Re: Will not start now :(

Bump...... Tearing down my axillary carbs and rebuilding and will put them back... The gas in Arizona has to be the worst in the world running 10% methanol and harsh detergents. I am going to be an expert on these carbs in a few more days.....I have the set in my spare bedroom getting ready to ultra...

Re: It's gonna huuuuuuuurt!!!!!!!!!.......

Dude the last LAST thing I would be concerned about is the bike. Its good your injuries are relatively minor but the wrist is a very complicated machine and you need it. I hope it heals well for you. The bike shit...you can still buy some real nice ones for cheap....I have several on Craigslist a fe...

Will not start now :(

I just had my valves adjusted (new plugs) and the idle mixture settings set and synchronized at the shop . Took the bike home and all was good (not great). I seemed to have lost some power but I figured maybe the valves needed to settle into the new position. After 100 miles I started getting hesita...

Re: Headers

Are the R6 headers more free flowing than the originals? Has anyone compared performance difference? What is the difference if just using the stock headers? I was thinking about stock and customizing a slip on for it. I would consider your offer thank you if the R6 was a better header or offered an ...

Re: Headers

Hey Kid thanks I think I will stay away from the Exup sine I don't have the Cali TCI I have been reading the thread you started (I just found it on Google actually). Does the R6 require plastic mods? It looks like it did. I am looking to not chop my plastic but I do want to mount a shorty muffler wh...

Re: Headers

I just had the valves adjusted, carbs adjusted and re-synchronized. It runs great like the day I first had it. But it always had this jerkiness rolling around a sharp corner in gear at idle or just off idle. The guys at the shop said it was the crappy header. These guys are racers and pro mechanics ...

Re: fork spring recomendation

Hi George I did read this as well as the WIKI for the paint thread I started. But I guess there was no good answers there for me or it was incomplete at best. So I am doing my homework as best as possible. what I am looking for a drop in replacement that is ~.80Kg spring that has the same length. I ...

fork spring recomendation

Looking to firm up my front suspension since I blew out a fork seal. are there any good replacement springs that will stiffen up the ride (I am 170lbs) that will fit and not need modification to get the same ride height?
