Re: Purchase from hell

oh and there is a shorted wire that connects to the frame from the VR, like the bolt taht holds on the VR has a ground on it That sounds just about right. As to taking off the tank, loosen two of the allen\5mm hex bolts on the petrol cap, the ones at 5 and 7 o'clock. Are you sure the ticking noise ...

Re: Clutch presser plate push rod welded to ball bearing

Check if the spring which retracts the clutch actuator is present (inside the sprocket cover)! They can fall off and then.... well all hell is loose :-)
Also check that the clutch cable itself runs freely, if not oil\replace it.

Re: quick yzf fork swap question

YZf 600 is bolt on I think, but the 750? Don't think so, though I'd love to be proven wrong.

Re: Thoughts on R1 Front end swap

Is there anyone here who makes custom upper triples for conversions? Since the fzr stem will be a bit skinny for a R1 upper and it will move when braking etc. At least I had that problem with my gsxr forks and just wrapped the stem with some thin metal, but I'd like a better fix. And go for USD fork...

Re: Another YZF swingarm?! UGH, enough already!

Hmmm.. I used some old FZR "heightening" bones. About an inch shorter than original FZR. The bike is at correct height now, but I'll loosen the preload some....

Re: Another YZF swingarm?! UGH, enough already!

I'm doing the same conversion and I'm just wondering;

Are the rear sprockets of all YZF 600 94-02 the same?
Wich year 636 front sprocket fits?
And where to buy cheapest?

Re: YZF swinger swap has begun....help appreciated.

Here is a picture of the swingarm after I cut it. It sits right between 8 & 7/16ths - 8 & 1/2. The camera angle makes it seems a little less but its not. I'll have to convert this from inches to mm for my conversion. 1 inch=25,4 mm. And I'm a little confused about the 7/16ths :headscratch: Is 8,5 i...

Re: Homemade "WHEELIE" Video's!!

I have a 520 kit with 14-47 sprockets. I clutch it up @ around 6-7000rpm. That means 6-7000rpm, then clutch inn, 10000rpm, clutch out.
