Re: FZR600: R6 Rear Shock Swap
The spacers will have to be custom made. Someone on the board maybe able to help you out, but I'm not sure exactly who.

Re: Winter projects! what are you doing?
Munzo! Now that's what I'm talkin about! We need a good 20 page build thread :) my far looked great from 10ft, I always wanted to do a complete tear down and redo my frame that looked like crap. I just could take apart a perfectly running bike for fear I wouldnt put it back together I've been takin...

Re: Winter projects! what are you doing?
Rebuilding / Street fightering a 91 600. It came to me in pretty rough shape, and sans running motor (more details on that when I post my build). I've got it all stripped down and cutting the frame for a R6 tail swap and YZF tank swap as we speak. And then the frame goes off to get powder-coated. It...

This man speaks the truth.sweekster wrote:Not for nothing but youu could take one of the bolts you do have to a hardware store and match it up.
More specifically go to Ace Hardware. That place is a magical place for bolts. You should be able to find the one you need there.

Re: videos of restoring/reassembling 93 fzr600r???
Are there any good videos out there of reassembling/restoring a 93 fzr600r? I just bought one and want to do much of the work myself. I really want to give it a completely new paint job, literally paint/repaint everything that can/should be. I dont really know anything about this bike besides the r...

This is about how I run as well.kilika2 wrote:For reference I usually run 4th gear while cruising through town at 45 and stay there until 55.
Chris.
5th is 55-65ish and then 6th for over 70. But I have a little sputtering around 4-5k so I tend to run mine at a little higher RPMS.

It looks like you can buy right from http://www.zerogravity-racing.com/index.php
That's the only manufacturer I've seen around. But there maybe more.

Re: mpg
Right in Oakley. About 10 minutes from downtown. There is another guy who is on the other forum who is right over the river in KY. We should set up a little ride. There are some great roads and twisties down in Kentucky. As long as you don't mind me riding like a grandma.
Re: mpg
I normally fill up around 175 miles. Think I went like 185 last time and still had like half a gallon left.

Re: ??? intake monifold boot question
The boots get hard as they get older. One trick is to use a heat gun on the boots to soften them up a bit, which should make it easier for them to connect to the carbs.

WTB: Radiator + Starter Shaft ..........SORTED
Like the title says I'm looking for 2 last things:
1. Radiator for a 600
2. Shaft that goes from the starter to the peanut cover.
These are the last two things I need before I can see if this project bike will fire up . Thanks.

Parts Prices
Fresh on the back of my recent post about buying a non running bike (which I ended up passing on). I have some questions regarding fair offers on FZR parts. There is a local shop here that buys wrecked sports bikes and either parts them out or brings them back to life and re-sells them with salvage ...
