Re: Balancing carbs
Unless a previous owner left them in, they are not there. The holes are blocked by M5 bolts as standard. I used M5 welder tips, left them in there with heat proof hoses attached and ends plugged, so next time I can just pull out the hoses and attach the sync tool. Are these the M5 welder tips you a...

Re: Balancing carbs
Ok, managed to find this post (not sure why I couldn't find it yesterday when I was searching :headscratch: ). The only thing that is missing is the picture of a "random" carb to show the screws at the bottom of the intake boot. Anyone that can assist with a pic? http://fzronline.com/forum/viewtopic...

Balancing carbs
Hi all, A quick question. I tried to balance my carbs on Sunday. I have a home made carb balancer from a friend which he has successfully balanced his carbs with. I'm struggling to find where to attach the balancer. He told me that it needs to attach somewhere near the inlet manifolds between the he...

Re: Top Box for FZR 1000
Hepco&Becker used to manufacture a luggage frame for the FZR (both topcase-only and also a full luggage set). As far as I know, they were the only one. Edit: https://www.hepco-shop.de/meinbike/yamaha/fzr-1000-1989-1990/komplett-traeger-schwarz.html <-- The frame for newer is without photos on their...

Top Box for FZR 1000
Hi, Does anyone whether you can get a top box for a 95 FZR 1000? I know it will look pretty silly but I have changed jobs and my new company doesn't have lockers so I have to lug all my gear with me to my desk each day. So I thought instead of buying a new bike that can take a top box I was hoping t...

Handle Bar issue
So I got home yesterday afternoon from work and as I pulled into my driveway my left handle bar snapped. God was definitely on my side as it could have spelled disaster if it happened on the way home. Anyhow, I started taking the handle bar off and thought that I could just replace the pipe piece. I...

Starter noise issue
Hi all, I hope someone can help. My starter has a "zinging" type of noise each time I start the bike almost like it's overrunning. I took the starter to an auto electrician who tested it and said everything is fine. I tested it myself outside the bike and it makes no noise and works fine. I checked ...

Re: my FZR 1000 keeps dieing
Have you checked the carbs? Sounds like they may be flooding. Check jets, needls, toobs etc..
