Which fork is the best to use is a purely subjective question and you will get a lot of different answers. Going to a newer fork set up age wise will help for nothing else than to be able to find a shop willing to work on them and parts availability. You need to identify what you what from it first...

Hey got my fzr 4/6 hybrid up & running, very happy with the extra power, but seems that after a while of riding hard it feels sluggish i feel this is prob due to the heat rising and not giving clean air to the carbs, when its cold its really responsive, i have 130 main jet and running stock 400 airb...

had to cut top of snorkel off on the 400 airbox to get the best flow, but this bike fuels great all the way up using 130 mains, very very happy with this conversion
