Re: High Beams work, but not low beams
Had a similar issue on my 92 (single lamp) and it was corroded/melted plug from PO using a 100/90 bulb. Replacement plug/socket cheap from the interweb and a proper bulb solved the problem.

Re: Bought some Shinko 006 Podiums (Pics)
I put the the same Shinkos on my bike about 200 miles ago and so far they have been great. True test will be how they feel 7 or 8 thousand miles from now. I'm using my bike as a light, occasional commuter and weekend cruiser and I'm not a very aggressive rider so I figured I would try my luck with s...

Re: Inspection questions. Some MA specific, but mostly general.
Just an update. I passed with non DOT blinkers and a bad fork seal. They basically just checked if all the lights worked. Only thing I had to do was add side reflectors on the back but they had some stick ons they gave me. Put a couple hundred miles on the bike this weekend and loved every minute of...

Re: Front turn signals (Flush versus long stem)
Dual filament bulbs (3 wire) allow you to use the front signals as running lights as well as blinkers. I believe there is also a mod that can be done to make the 2 wire, single filament bulbs work for this.

Re: Inspection questions. Some MA specific, but mostly general.
Thanks for the response. I gathered that information myself from the article, but was curious about people's actual experience with inspections. For example, if somebody passed or failed with flush mounts, no rear fender, plate light...etc. Also, from what I read on page 28, front turn signals are r...

Inspection questions. Some MA specific, but mostly general.
Okay, so after a few weeks, I finally have my bike insured, registered and on the road. Next step is inspection... I was reading up and this document http://www.mass.gov/rmv/inspect/540cmr400.pdf (pages 23-30) raised a few questions/potential issues: - I have flush mount turn signals for the front t...

I ordered this (below), and also picked up the proper, 60/55 bulb. I will test the battery and charging system and try the new headlight/plug combo. Hopefully that will solve my issues and I won't have to post a follow up.
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!

Electrical issues on my 92 600. Search says maybe VR?
Hi guys - Just got the bike and trying to get her on the road. Low beam was not working at all, but the high beam would work fine when switched on. Also, the tail lights were not working (and would work intermittently when I touched/moved the wires around). Tail light bulbs tested fine, but when I w...
