Blue dots for fzr600
I am sure this question has been asked before but i did a search and checked the wiki and could not find the answer. I need to know what years of r6 blue dots bolt up to 90+ fzr600 fork legs? I have heard that 99 to 02 are what fits but I want to be sure before I make a purchase. Thanks ahead of time!
Re: dog bones
I was thinking more about the play in the threads working and wearing from the lateral loading and unloading of the suspension.
Re: dog bones
Reelrazor I was wondering why you did not use thin jamnuts against the large nut welded on these dogbones ?

Re: My bike, it no movey movey.....
Reelrazor is right. If the only parts you changed were the pushrod pieces and the old ones were damaged you more than likely ended up with a longer pushrod length. This all on the assumption that your pressure plate is on right. Do the the clutch plates get tight in the basket when you tourqe the pr...

Re: R6 header mod
Does anyone know if this mod will interfere with oil filter removal on a 89 engine ( Canister filter )?

Hiding those ugly brackets Choke / Speedo cable
I was wondering if any of you fighter guys have came up up with a better looking bracket or a way to hide the ugly choke control and speedo cable guide that hangs off of the radiator on a FZR600?
I have searched and did not find anything.

Re: Things to know before doing a valve adj? - Help
Any shop should stock these as they are the same 7.5mm shims that are used on modern 250cc four stroke motocross bikes. It does not matter what brandname is on the package they are all the same shims. I have " Honda " and " Kawasaki " shims in my bike as I used to work at my local dealership. Also H...

I see alot of people are running a R6 header. I do not know alot about this. What are the advantages over the stock FZR header or other aftermarket headers?

Re: Handlebar buzz
My point was if this was a race bike I would not have sand in the bars, or coolant in the cooling system, or whatever else tech required.ratbikesforever wrote: More of a street comfort thing.
I guess I could get my bullet casting equipment out and "fill em full of lead"

Re: Handlebar buzz
If you are on the track you have a lot more to think about than a little handlebar buzz. More of a street comfort thing. When I try it I will post back with results.

Re: parts bike
I did not know that about the swingarms. Is the 90+ swingarm a bolt up to the 89 bike? Do you need a 90+ axle? The 90+ looks much nicer and I am sure it is stronger.

Re: Handlebar buzz
I did not read the link because I know what a bar snake is but what I did not know is that they make a liquid dampener. A bit pricey though I might try dried sand first. Thanks for the help.

Re: I think someone at Bridgestone likes us
Yeah, I thought that would be the case. I worked at a motorcycle tire store in late 80's and early 90's and have had alot of experience trying to put too much tire on not enough rim. The same result: triange profile, quick turn in, but small contact patch and reduced traction at lean angles
