Radiator Woes
Well everyone here's how she sits at the moment. Makes me sad to see such an awesome bike look so terrible. As you can see there's a lot wrong cosmetically with it. I'm eventually wanting to turn this heap into a stock appearing fzr750. I want to keep the zx7 forks but according to the previous owne...

Previous owner hooked up battery backwards. Where do I start
Hello everyone. I've got my '88 FZR 750 back however my buddy accidentally hooked up the new battery backwards and it won't start now. Lights work but that's about it. Where should I start troubleshooting?

Re: 1988 FZR750 Restoration Project
Bought a plastic welder Friday to attempt to repair the original plastics. I have both sides and the bottom. My rear brake caliper, stay, and line came in. Looks like the FZR1000 stuff will fit. The same with the front fairing stay. I'm headed to a salvage shop Friday to pick up some FZR600 handle b...

Will this setup work on my FZR? The stay and bracket are what I need the most.

Re: 1988 FZR750 Restoration Project
Ok everyone time for some small updates. I've ordered a front fairing stay for an 88 fzr 1000 (hope it fits). So far thats it as i'm still researching stuff and trying to figure out what I need. I have a few question for you though. The clip ons are on the forks but the actual handles are missing. A...

Re: 1988 FZR750 Restoration Project
Gotta love moronic teenagers I guess. The hesitation worked in my favor though. I convinced him it needed a full rebuild and got it dirt cheap.

Re: 1988 FZR750 Restoration Project
It's due for a complete tear down lol. The previous owner didn't cover anything and spray painted everything. It's got hesitation when you give throttle from a stop and a dead spot at 7k rpm. I'm pretty sure it's because I discovered today it has no airbox, filters, just open carbs....That guy was a...

1988 FZR750 Restoration Project
I've been looking for a bigger bike for some time now and came across this FZR750 on craigslist. I thought "hey bigger and a fzr!!!" so I had to have it. It's rough but rideable and I intend to restore it back to a factory look with a few bolt ons here and there. This would be totally useless withou...
