Re: Luckybike voltage regulator is this OEM? Should I return

Here is the product page link http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VKIX7S/. It is an R6 voltage regulator for use with this harness http://www.ttrignition.com/vrr-upgrades.html. Looking at pics on ebay it looks like the OEM part is in fact made in Japan. What do you guys think use it or lose it? I ...

Re: Very Confused, Cardboard in air box?? (Pics)

The general consensus is that It's a yoshi pipe, should I keep it or just go back to stock exhaust with stock jetting? Indeed, seeing as the cap says "Yoshimura" right on it... By the way, I think the piece of cardboard might have been there to seat the filter properly, as well. My K&N needs a foam...

Re: Ohh, Yes, he did...660 the easy(?) way

yep shouldn't need adjustable cam gears, however the other two points are completely wrong. The cam chain is still loose when you use a base gasket for the 660 install and the tensioner will still apply the same force to the cam chain after being reset (mine went in a bunch of clicks after doing th...

Re: 140/60 vs 150/60, once again (+ Shinko review)

Got the local dealer to bump the 150 down to $120 (less than half of BT016 MSRP). JCWhitney no longer ships to Canada :swear (By the way, Shinko tires are in the Full Bore Marketing catalogue in Canada, same as Arai helmets.) Now I just need a cheap rear shock replacement. Looking at FZ1 upgrade...

Re: 140/60 vs 150/60, once again

Here are some pics. I parked it for the winter pretty soon after the last tracknight last year, and hasn't been long since this year's riding season started.. Rear (150/60): http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/813/rearwear.th.jpg Front (110/70): perhaps I spoke too soon about not needing a new front....

Re: 140/60 vs 150/60, once again

150 = more rotating mass = better stability If you're looking to try something besides to shinko I like the BT016 myself, the avon storm is popular too. I just don't want to throw the front away yet. Also, living a fair distance away from the border, buying new tires is usually one anally exciting ...

Re: 140/60 vs 150/60, once again

Can't help you with your question... sorry :whistle But i am curious what you thought about the Shinko Tires; Would you buy them again? Comparison to other tires you've run? (helping my buddy pick out new tires; trying to decide on a Brand and Size) Well, the only "issue" I've had is the aforementi...

140/60 vs 150/60, once again (+ Shinko review)

Hi all, I'm getting ready to replace my Shinko 150/60 rear (~5k km and a little left until the wear bars), and even after reading the discussions on here, I still can't decide... Points to note: - I don't like the "floaty" feeling at certain speeds (not a huge deal, though; combination of my shock a...

Re: Replacing the Rear Tire... (150/70/18??)

@nick just becareful ... are only as good as the money you spend on them. Welcome to the global economy. banghead FWIW, I have that same Shinko 006 set (110 front, 150 rear), a few thousand + a few track nights. The rear started to wear alarmingly fast initially (well, not surprised, given the road...

Re: cheep digital speedometers found

No temperature display, no dimensions posted, no mention of documentation (let alone documentation in *English*), and probably not much support you can expect from the seller. It's your own cash, but, IMHO, $91 shipped is just plain ridiculous. You may be able to justify astronomically high pricing ...

Re: WIKI software

ie what O/s the server runs on, is the WIKI software cross platform or platform specific ? I was foolish enough to say that from an "author's " / collators point of view it was very easy to use. I've done several setups with various wiki engines for work and hobby... but really, every case has its ...

Re: digital ignitor TID14-70 3EN-00

Ignitech has been mentioned before, and they even have instructions specifically for the 400... Looks like you'd lose the EXUP servo, though.

You could also have a look here or try pinging Don for a TCI repair attempt :)

Re: Could this be the WRONG engine oil?

I'm not trying to start the never ending oil debate - but the PO made a point of including 3 quarts of oil with the purchase. I thought it was a nice touch, until I just opened the bag and realized this was what he gave me - and I assume is in the engine now??? Ever heard of this stuff? Engine oil,...

Now this made me think that the bike was gonna mess up on me, but since discovering this I've done around 500 miles and the bikes not missed a beat, its run fine, started fine so everythings all good there and it still charges at +1v more than battery voltage. The DC output must have much higher ri...

Re: Insurance quotes

What is your experience? Pretty much the same thing over here. Keep shopping around. Some companies still lump it together with modern "supersports" (as opposed to "sport touring"). I realize they are trying to discriminate based on the audience that is likely to buy these... but the fact that it c...
