I fitted the adjustable lever off the 750 so the bite point felt more natural

Definitely drain fuel and give carbs a good clean. Would be tempted to spin it over without plugs maybe drop a small amount of oil down the bores to make sure it's lubed as you can't be sure it's been turned over whilst stored

The 50mm diameter is measured at the top part held in the fork clamps and from memory the lower chrome slider is 45mm
The r right way up forks 89-90 model are 43mm chrome slider

If you remove the coils tray you should be able to access the screws from the middle outwards if the previous owner has replaced the clamps in the correct direction Basically if you're at the front of the bike looking towards the rear the screw heads should face in a V shape towards the headstock/ c...

Not sure which hoses are included in the kit but only major difference is that one has a separate oil cooler to the rad whereas in the other the cooler is integrated. Associated oil pipes are different to the filter housing as earlier model runs a paper filter and the later model is spin-on

Just be aware that if you're using the EXUP loom there are a couple of spare wires that are market specific. In the UK there's a red/black wire unused and a red/white wire. Both are located mid loom around the starter and fuel pump area
