Re: What's your MPG ?

I get right about 48mpg every tank. Heavy on the throttle. Only mod that would effect mileage is a Yoshimura slip on. about 8k miles on the motor.

look at the bright side, you always have fresh oil! J/K definitely do a compression test. Thatll let you know. I would suspect youre burning oil.

FQ, You and DK are lucky( DK doubly so for walking away from a seized tranny :yikes: ) try riding at 80+ wind chill factor and the ambient is only 13 degrees and it is MAY for Fs sake. My bro on his H-D 1400 was cussing riding to the BMF as he had taken out his liners from his riding gear " cause i...

Re: Changing Oil - choosing the right oil

good thread, I changed my oil a few weeks back and ended up going to a suzuki shop (only one around). I bought suzuki oil but I'm thinking the suzukis might be slightly different because now my clutch slips. Might be a dumb Q but where can I get that Rotella oil?

Re: VR Q

OK, yeah, just ordered a YZF VR. So, hopefully it wont catch on fire before the new one gets here. I might actually park the bike till then. Not really into melting my new tail either....

VR Q

When I installed my airtech tail I remounted the VR like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v689/fropleyquark/IMG_1047.jpg I know they get hot so I wanted to make sure it was getting enough air under the tail... so, I decided to touch it after about 30 min of riding. Well, not really a good ide...

Re: Fork spring replacement

Yes, in a nutshell. You'll probably have a hard time just draining the oil. Some model forks dont have drains other with tend to be stuck. However, before you do anything, I would HIGHLY recommend you take a good look at the how to stickied at the top of this page. I used it and had no problems. I w...

Re: Airtech Tail w/ 03 R6 Undertail Photos

Alright Rage, If youre ever in MS, I owe you a beer... or 3. I followed your lead and just finished my install this morning. However you figured to use rebar caps is beyond me but I dont think anything could have worked better. I did the same thing you did with the threaded rod for holding the seat ...
