yep. the fuel pump has to be mounted at 45 degree angle (so the inlet is pointed slightly down) otherwise i guess youll burn up the pump.thats what the instructions said. it makes sense im sure a fuel pump will push fuel better than pulling it . i dont know all i know as it works!!!!!!

so i posted in the general discussion about a fuel pump swap Noob and well my pump quit working and im too cheap to buy a pump thats half the cost of the bike itself. so i went to my oreillys and got the Mr.Gasket 4-7 psi pump they had there.thanks sweekster for a second opinion!! i put it on and it...

so does the fuel pump run the entire time the bike is running?or does the digital ignitor control it every so often? oh the pump i found was identical to the pic.

fuel pump swap?
hey guys fuel pump took a dump on me.the bike is a 96 600 and im too cheap to buy a yamaha one for this old of bike. woould a fuel pump from the parts store work? i found one at my local oreillys 4-7 psi pump. is that still too much pressure? they also have a regulator that goes from 1-6 psi.i know ...
