clutch contact point problem! please help!

hey guys, so i'm fairly new to my fzr1000, would like to start doing some work on her myself, first item: my clutch (hydraulic), engages very close to the bar. how do i get it to engage farther away from the bar? what could cause this? will it fix itself if i just add more dot 3 fluid (it seems a li...
