Clutch cable stretching super early - question

Been a while guys, had a car accident, had purchased a nice 2007 Toyota 4Runner V8 Sport Edition back in January, a 16 year old girl in the neighborhood on a Learner's Permit used her dad's Honda Civic as a launch ramp for it and I became airborne Dukes of Hazzard fashion, and crash landed upside-do...

Re: Connecting the Choke

Maybe just my paranoid ass here, and having done all that a few years ago, unless you enjoy pulling it all apart again maybe just wait to see if the Idle Adjustment does it for you. Replacing the jets on an assumption also opens you up to making multiple errors or something else breaking while you'r...

Re: What to get coated?

Depending on the footpegs you have it might be ok, if they have the rubber top.... the heel guards i would not powdercoat... unless you ride in slippers that paint will get scratched up pretty fast. Hell I've even worn the ...aluminium ?... thru on mine, I'm not sure how but maybe the forming proces...

Re: Sad realization

Keep the FZR and buy a Kawasaki KLR650. It's fast enough for freeway speeds PLUS you can go offroad with it. It's more fun off-road, trust me. Sport riding after a certain age, especially where you live, starts to get bad for the brain and can possibly be bad for the body, considering the t...

Re: I'm no expert, but...

that not look good man say have valve clearances checked and put new gasket on, any other solution is asking for trouble. unless you already had valve clearances checked recently. then just replace the gasket. usually some special white goo looking sealer you gotta use for proper seal also, don't kn...

Re: A couple of my old FZR's of past.......

its just a 400cc though? Expert WERA champion buddy back in the day would whip the pants off everybody except the same level guys riding FZR1000's on most tracks in this region. With the right pilot those things can be amazing, ask Shift. His "F YO 6" (fake license plate) was about right. Ultra-lig...

Re: OCTOBER PHOTO FINAL JUDGING:- VOTE NOW !!!!

Thanks Tommy, uh... well, i've been out a little while but i did get to vote on everything. I voted at all the stages of qualification and was pretty fair and broad-stroke about it, not trying to be a prick or pigeonhole or popularity-contest anyone. I tell you what though, i wouldn't get too worked...

Re: So I wrote an article... big deal.

Darrin- What a great article , that's exactly the same way i felt when i got back on the MX bike after a 20 year hiatus. Well, close anyway, since I had only really stopped riding during college. Makes me really want to do a track day next year. So did your GSXR's rear end get "Squirrely" on you yet...

Re: Smilies

This phone thing is getting out of hand... doesn't anyone just use them as phones any more? I couldn't do this on a phone, i'd go blind even with the i-Phone's high-resolution screen.
