Re: Help troubleshoot handling issues.
Wheels are straight and were balanced when the tires were put on. I talked with a buddy about it and he suggested that the rebound and/or dampening may be too hard in the rear. So I turned them both all the way down and took it for a spin around the block. The change seems to have alleviated the cor...

Re: Help troubleshoot handling issues.
It's more of a head shake as you described. The rear shock is actually the same length as stock. I doubt the tire pressure is an issue in regards to operating temperature. The reason being is that the Pilot Road 3's are specifically designed to be a cold-rainy weather tire, so it's designed operatin...

Help troubleshoot handling issues.
I haven't been on the forums in quite awhile. But I'm having a hard time figuring out handling issues I seem to be having, so I need your guy's help. I've got a 93' CBR600 F2 that I ride daily (rain or shine). My FZR is in pieces, haven't had the money to get it put back together. Anyway, recent wor...

Re: FZR 400 Part out!
Awesome seller. I bought the titled frame from him, as with anything where documentation, it's beneficial to make sure everything is in order and he provided me with all the information necessary for me to do that. He was very quick with responses, and was happy to include a bill of sale with the ti...

I got one. Clean title. Couple dents in the side from handle bars during a lay down.

Re: FZR400/600 Streetfighter
Dyyryath, this is easily one of, if not the cleanest builds I've seen. It's given me quite a few ideas for my build. Hopefully you don't mind if I emulate some of your designs. :-) Keep the pictures coming. I can't stop looking at this build. BTW, you got any info on that battery? I've tried to find...

Re: 660 and other motor questions.
YG & Dru, thank you very much for all the input. I think all my questions as far as the swap have been answered. Now it's just a matter of getting the machining done to the parts (balance, hone, shot peening, so on so forth) and putting everything back together.

Re: yzf600 tank question
Is it the TCI turning it off or is it the low fuel/fuel pump assembly?

Re: yzf600 tank question
Don's solution is about the only one that's simple AND cheap assuming that's how it needs to be done (I don't have the shop manual on hand to confirm). However, from my understanding there is a button you'll need to find and hook up to the fuel pump. Given that the fuel pump, once low, cuts the fuel...

Re: yzf600 tank question
Simple answer is no. First, depending on the year of tank, I recall that the early versions of the YZF600 tanks had an internal fuel pump. So from there you would route the fuel line Petcock > Fuel Filter > Carbs. Otherwise, if it's one of the later models, it'd be Petcock > Fuel Filter > Fuel Pump ...

Re: 660 and other motor questions.
I figured I'd make a visit back here and ask another Cam question. On a similar note of using two intake cams, I've read varying opinions (but with no facts) as to whether FZR400, FZR600 and YZF600r cam profiles are different. I've seen multiple times that FZR600 cam are more aggressive than YZF600 ...

Re: Oil Fiter Cross Reference
The promotive PH4610 has been superseded by the PH4612. For the spin on filters you can go anywhere and request an oil filter that fits a Honda Civic, any year, but if they want specific just say 92'. 600's use the same same filters as Most Hondas, Hyundais, Nissans (cars), Kias and some of the newe...

Re: FZR400 frame
I really don't feel like deal with all the licensing issue involved with buying international. Otherwise I'd seriously consider buying from the UK or Japan.
