Re: Hard acceleration stumble
Finaly got around to work on the bike. Cleaned the carbs (didn't look like that was necessary though), replaced the carb boots and made sure they were tight as hell. Took it out for a drive an the problem appears to be gone. Thanks for the input.

Re: Hard acceleration stumble
It doesn't happen in 1st? Is the bike jetted at all? And what mods if any.. What rpm does this happen? Is the exup valve serviced and cables properly tightened? No, it doesn't. Pulls fine through 1st gear. Happens around 7-8 k and no, the bike is not jetted. Only mod is a viper slip-on (as far as I...

Hard acceleration stumble
Hi. I recently picked up an -89 FZR 1000. Very happy with the bike in general after valve clearance adjustment. However, during hard acceleration in both 2nd and 3rd gear the bike stumbles for a split second and then continues to pull hard (haven't tried through 4th and 5th yet, it's not a pleasant ...

Re: parts bike
Just read this post. I have a -92 and am looking at a set of fairings (upper, lower, rear) including head- and taillights from a 1994 model. Are you saying that the 94 upper fairing will not fit a 92 fairing stay? Is it difficult to make it fit or do I also need a 94 stay?

Re: Easy R6 shock upgrade
I recently installed one of these kits and can recommend it to anyone who's looking for a shock upgrade. reelrazor is great to deal with and the package has everything you need (and more) in terms of hardware and instructions. It is very easy to install and looks great. Hard to beat the price and pe...

Re: Caliper fluid seal. Huge problem!
Well, I've tried various places and they all say the same thing - these o (x) -rings are not available. I can of course find o-rings but not that are suitable for brake fluid. Same with car calipers. It's the weirdest thing. I thought that perhaps many people had encountered the same issue and had a...

Caliper fluid seal. Huge problem!
I have encountered a quite delicate little problem that is about to drive me to jump off a roof. During dissasembly of the right front brake caliper, the small o-ring in the fluid channel between the halves fell out without me noticing it. Now I cannot find the damn thing. I've called around to deal...

Re: Steering damper mod
Thanks a bunch. What length is that damper? I suppose any universal damper will work mounted in that location.

Steering damper mod
Hello. I'm new to this board and just picked up a -92 FZR600 to use on the track only. I think I've been able to find all information I need to get it ready except one thing - steering damper. I cannot find any dampers specific to this model but came across the following over at fzrarchives.com: "Es...
