But a front fairing from a 88 1000 might fit. The bikes were surprisingly similar. +1 In fact, I think the only difference between the 1st Gen 750s & 1000s was the motor / tranny. The bodywork is more than likely the same. I would investigate that further as a potential option. Yup. I have an extra...

Thanx. This one was the first bike I owned that I just fell in love with. I never wanted to sell it or change it in any way after I got it all finished.......

Bad ground wire somewhere. Check the negative battery cable and make sure it's secure at both ends. Otherwise, you have a bad ground or maybe a wire is bare and is shorting out along the frame somewhere.

How do the spark plugs look? All the same color? Is the bike popping (backfiring)out the exhaust when you let off the gas going down the highway?
