Re: Newbie fork question

I've had 2 different front ends (different yolks, forks, wheel etc) and both are like this. The headstock kind of kicks up to the right (looking at it top down) on both, so the appearace is that the right fork sits slightly forward. The forks appear straight and undamaged.

Newbie fork question

I have an 89 UK exup and I was told the forks were bent as the right fork seems to sit slightly further forward (the headstock is asymmetrical), so I bought another set and they are exactly the same... Is this some weird design? Apologies if the answer is obvious, I am a cretin :)

Re: WTB - exup thou forks/yolks etc

Ok grand. Just so long as they're straight and free of rust. Drop me an email on catworst@ratbike.org and we'll sort out a courier and payment.

Re: WTB - exup thou forks/yolks etc

You've still not said what condition the forks are! If they're good and you'll do me the whole lot for £150 you have a deal ;)

Re: WTB - exup thou forks/yolks etc

What sort of condition are they in? Has the top yoke been drilled for risers? Gimme an idea on price, I want the whole front apart from wheel, bars and brakes.

Re: WTB - exup thou forks/yolks etc

I have bent forks and yolks/headstock, so it's those I need. The wheel and calipers seem ok on mine, but thanks for the offer.

Fuel pump problem

Bit of a strange one this: My 89 EXUP is having fuelling issues, the pump clicks in with the ignition but dies when the bike is running. If I turn the ignition off then on it'll fill up then work for a couple of miles then die again. I've had it disconnected from the engine and it will pump until I ...

Downpipes again

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the pipes on an 87 Genesis thou (UK model)?
Many thanks.

Downpipes

Ok, so the ones on my bike are completely f***ed I'm looking to get a new system but the cheapest I've seen are £275 which is nearly as much as I paid for the bike! Anyone know where I can pick some up for a reasonable price? The bike's an 87 Gen.
Cheers.

Noob question

Ok, so I've had the bike one day and haven't had a proper look in the daylight yet, but I'm struggling to find the idle control. Can someone please point me in the right direction? It's an 87 Gen thou UK spec.

Cheers!
