Re: 89 FZR 600/ R6 front caliper conversion
Cool, thanks for the feedback. I can fabricate a bracket - just looking for an easy way out. I was given the forks and are already bolted on - hate to buy just the lowers AND the calipers. I can deal with the bracket. Thanks again and sweet ride you got there, JRK.

89 FZR 600/ R6 front caliper conversion
Anyone have info on upgrading this single piston front end to the much improved 99-02 R6 front calipers? The 89 bolt pattern is the same as 86-88 FZ600 lowers. Not sure if later FZR models were equiped the same.

Re: FZ 600 Racer
Yes, it is the stock FZ 600 rim. It is an 18" 3" wide rim. Not very good for racing and finding matching tires with the 16" front is impossible. I converted the front end/ wheel and rear swingarm/ wheel from an 89 FZR600. Front is bolt on. The rear took some moditifcation of dog bones, bolt holes, e...

FZ 600 Racer
I realize this is an FZR site, however, some of you helped me out and wanted to show your efforts. Re: FZ/ FZR 600 Front End Interchange
Looks a quite bit involved. I'll try the FZR stock stem/ front-end first. I like the the way you guys think out of the box - that is cool.

Re: FZ/ FZR 600 Front End Interchange
Not to sound too stupid but, where would I find this threaded rod in the diameter needed? I'm pretty handy, but have no clue to this.

Re: FZ/ FZR 600 Front End Interchange
My bad. I did not set up my profile.
It looks like just the forks are tweaked. Alhtough to the naked eye the triple trees may be off. Can I take the FZR Triple trees and assembly and mount? I guess that's my question. I have an oppurtunity to get a 1990 FZR front -end complete.

FZ/ FZR 600 Front End Interchange
I am brand new here, so bear with me. I have a 1986 FZ600 that was wrecked. Is there any later model FZR's that I can interchange? The FZ parts are very difficult to locate. Thanks
