hi all.

i broke my pick up coil on my 3HE and need a new one, anybody have a dead stator as they come with it and it does not look like they can be get seperatly!

yeah it does not look like you can get them seperatly.
will put a post up and see if theres a dead stator about, cheers man

need to replace the pick up coil on my 3HE, checked ebay and no luck so just wondering if any other ones would work or if there is a universal one i could get

hav you tried bridging the solinoid? that can sometimes stick, put a screwdriver(rubber handled!!) across the 2 terminals and see if that turns it over....if you havent tried yet

needing a crank pick-up coil for my 3HE, they do usually come with the stator(mines fine but if nobody wants to split ill take the set!)

yeah thought that might be the case, just took it off and doublechecked and its a solid unit, the meter only gets a reading on 2000k and even then it keeps losing it

had a spark for a second too and then nothing so def seems like thats the problem.

the pick up is solid, the wires run into it and it does not look like it comes apart to check the soldering.....

just tried again as found more info on how to test it, checked the 2 wires cming off, pos to red/white and neg to black/white,
set the meter to ohms 200k and got a feading of a bit over 1100........ sound right or wrong to anybody?

cheers guys, tried a multimeter on ohms going from the pick up to the connection at the end and nothing, put 1 terminal from the meter into the wire coming out of the coil and to the end of the connection and was getting a reading on both so wiring seems ok, the coil is solid so couldnt check the wi...

hi all, a few days back my bike died while i was out, pulled over and checked a few bits but couldnt find a prob, pushed to a petrol station (there was fuel in the tank but high octain so doesnt ignite as easily) refilled the bike, drained carbs and it fired on 1, revved it a lot and the 4 kicked in...

based in UK but postage cant be too bad can it?

my chain came off the bike a few days ago and snapped the push rod for the clutch,
checked ebay and theres only 1 on there but its from a 4JH model, anybody know if they are the same?

yeah i cheked out venhill, throttle cable a bit expensive but they have decent brake lines i might get!
