Re: Seeking TCI resistor values
The box was cut around the 3 sides with a bandsaw which I thought was the most logical thing to do since I can just put it back together by gluing the seam like it originally was. To be honest I didn't know what to expect or where the circuit board was inside and by using a bandsaw I only cut as dee...

Re: Seeking TCI resistor values
Here is the best image that I could take. They appear to me as Red - Red- Something - Gold , so with that I think you might be on the money Don! Now for the second part, how the hell do I remove the circuit board? It has channels on the side so it should slide out towards the connectors but there is...

Re: Seeking TCI resistor values
Thanks for the replies guys. I should've explained it better, the ignitor box isn't doing the usual not letting 2 of the cylinders fire or anything like that. When I bought the bike it wouldn't start and after many hours spent mucking about, I bought a new ignitor and it fired up straight away. I ju...

Seeking TCI resistor values
I have a faulty TCI that has blown 2 resistors. These are printed on the circuit board as R10 and R11. I am unable to read the values of the resistors as they have peeled themselves from getting too hot, that is why R10 and R11 are the only values I have. Does anyone know what these values are or wh...

Should be a little wedge bulb in there. My guess is that it's blown

Ignitor box compatibility?
The Ignitor unit on my 1987 FZR 1000 is broken and I need a replacement.
I have been told that the unit from a FZR750 works also, can someone back this up?
Which others fit?
If anyone has one please let me know.
Thank you

Re: Temperature
I have a digital gauge so I guess as operating temp is 160-180, around 180 it should?

Re: What is the coolant operating temperature
My apologies, the search function didn't want to work when I used it last.
I have found it though, thank you, it's a great help.
Can someone tell me at which temperature the fan kicks in?
I have asked in that thread but someone here may know.

Re: Temperature
Sorry to bump up an old thread.
At what temp does the fan kick in?
I bought the bike with a manual switch and am not sure when to turn it on.
It's a FZR 1000 but I assume it's the same

What is the coolant operating temperature
As mentioned in previous thread, I'm swapping the speedo unit to a digital one.
It has a digital temperature gauge so wandering what the operating temperature is and where the 'red' on the stock one begins?
C or F
Cheers

Re: Speed sensor wire ???? Quick Q
Yes the new speedo does take a magnet.
I dont know why the pic has the right side cut off but it goes to the relay box
What I was wanting to know is what the purpose of this wire is as I dont need it anymore. My guess is that it's a limiter possibly?
Cheers

Speed sensor wire ???? Quick Q
About to fit a digital speedo and sorting out excess wire on the 87 fzr 1000. There is a wire from the 'speed sensor' going to the relay, its green/white in the pic. What is it's job exactly? Just cut it short? Have a good weekend guys. http://www.fzrarchives.com/ipb/index.php?act=attach&type=post&i...
