The only thing it actually good for is :- selling more clothes & excuses not to go to work or to provide a service that...

Re: Thumping felt while coasting......output shaft problems?

i maybe out in left field but have you checked the clearance of the chain and foot pegs? if i remember right with the yzf swingarm they had to be spaced out or clearanced. could be that under deceleration the chain is getting slack and rubbing?

Re: quater mile time

Re: quater mile time

I would deffiently be happy with a 13 one of my friends has an 08r6 and he ran a 10.991, You have a 45 hp difference there. the going theory with cars at least is every 10 hp= .1 and every 100 lbs in weight reduction is .1 however i would be impressed if the fzr could run 11.50 i know i couldn't do...

Re: quater mile time

my first and last time with the fzr(made a lot of passes in my car and pickup) at bandimere i ran around a 14, if i knew what i was doing or had a two step or wheelie bars, probably could've gotten a 13.0 easy, take away the high altitude and that'd probably be a 12.0. Since its your first time you'...

Re: yamaha xj 550 won't idle.

nope i don't have the service history, the guy we bought it from supposedly adjusted the valves and that was back in 2006, i don't think he did a good job if he did because i thought i could hear some ticking from them. They are definitely making noise now, and the motorcycle has always been cold bl...

yamaha xj 550 won't idle.

My dads 1981 xj 550 won't idle, and i can't really find anything on the carbs that will adjust all of them at once. Also it is super cold blooded, i'm guessing it needs a valve adjustment, anyone else have any ideas? thanks
